No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Been running off and on over the last month. Trying to perfect my couch-to-42k program :)

The "A" goal is to finish under 3:53:56 to avoid a personal worst. The training focus now is just to add 1 mile to my long run each week until raceday, May 5th.

I made it through my long run again this week thanks to Preston. There's no way I could have mustered up the motivation to do this on my own after another slacker week of just 14 easy miles split between Sunday and Tuesday. Next week I WILL have at least 3 runs and 20 miles in before Friday.

Another great long run! I failed to get in more than 2 short runs again this week, but I have still been able to double my long run goal and add 2 miles per week thanks to Preston dragging me along and keeping me distracted from the pain. We averaged 7:59 today. Last month I couldn't run 3 miles at that pace.

Easy recovery run today. Maybe not so easy for my calves; they were a little uptight about running 2 days in a row. First 40 mile week since June!!!

Wincing in pain with each step on the ginormous blister I acquired during my long run last Friday. Hopefully it will calm down before my LR this week. Shooting for 20 miles if the blister doesn't turn into a bleeder along the way.
