Cut my run short today. I found a bench outside and just sat there for a while all sweaty and cold praying for my son. Teenage years are hard enough without all the extra mental baggage his bio parents gave him. It's been a tough week.

I like to stop and pray in the middle of a run as well. Peace be with you and your family.

I am sorry to hear that, but I get it. My daughter has been quite the challenge as a teenager!!! Hope things get better, I am sure the prayers will be heard!

Thanks, for the encouragement. Our prayers have got us this far, I'm sure we will make it. After all, we're on the home stretch right?

Your faith will bless you in ways you may not understand, but eventually you will. Thanks for the reminder to take the time to stop and ask for the Lord's help.

The home stretch! That sounds good. How old is your son??? My daughter is 17, but I think she will be sending me to my knees for a long time still!!!

He's almost 15 and faced with a lot of challenges most kids (or parents for that matter) don't ever have to deal with. Sometimes it's difficult to identify and separate the mental issues from the heart/attitude issues.

17 was the hardest year with my daughters for sure!

Hang in there!

Good luck, Mike. The running looks great and if you're like me, it's a great place to meditate. I have to admit, though, that most of the time when I'm praying on my runs it's for me to be able to get back to my starting point in one piece. lol I'll be praying for ya!
